Polygon series on Hidden Path / Game Dev

I found this series of articles on Hidden Path fascinating. I know some of the people who work there and I've visited their offices a few times so it's easy for me to put faces to these names, but I expect anyone interested in game development will enjoy them just as much.

There are seven articles total so far. 'How game creators find the fun' and 'Why building a game is only the beginning' are my favorites.

Fantastic read....I like how they finally got them to own up how a successful game with fans clamoring for a sequel was actually a failure. Bottom line M$ hired them to intentionally write a crap game to fill out their XBOX store, M$ was dismayed when it was actually a good game, so they found a contract out and did it for PC/Steam and ended up still having to port it for M$ XBOX and lost money when they later found out M$ listed it in the $10 crap games section.
