Can someone make me a Portal Gun at some point? It MUST shoot portals! I don't really care if the portals are able to be walked through or not. I would just love to shoot one off into the distance and shoot the other in front of me, then look at it to see if I really want to venture off that way or not.

Ok, so it doesn't have to be a Portal Gun (but it should be), but something that works like that. If something like that is not already in the game when it is released (hint hint Lars ;) ).

I'd do it myself but I have no idea how or where to even start. :cry:

I think there are already 22 requests for mods! Lots of awesome features didn't win the serious business vote.

Portal Guns are harder than they seem to implement. Even Garry's Mod, which has a LOT of custom weapons made for it at this point, doesn't have a portal gun that works very well. The math, debugging, and rendering involved is a lot more complicated than it ought to be. Modding it in would take a lot of work.

The real question is can you import the gun model into Unity 3D.

After that is out of the way, how are you going to handle Frontier's specific interface and implementation?

Will it handle like a reskinned bow and arrow?

I was hoping Lars would post a tutorial for the framework of implementing a simple mod, like a red beach ball. I have no game design experience but lots of programming experience. IT would be difficult for me to decipher a more complex mod, maybe. I would be interested in helping a great deal.

sssoooo hi i bought the game cant wait to play it but.....

i really dont like the mythical/fantasy i just want to have a realistic game without giant mushrooms, flying orbs, witchery etc.

so if someone feels the same here it is this is how i think about it im just not a real fan of not real things

hey haha me again

just one second later so heres my second thing i really love the game but i kinda love the (1700/1800s) and would love a more 17/1800s styled mod
with like other npc (villager) skins more 1750/ 1820s and a musket and knives etc.

so thats my thought on this one thanks for reading
