TrackIR

Hi Lars!

Quick tech-question: I remember reading Occulus Rift support somewhere in the Stretch Goal list... Will that also include a way of using TrackIR? Or is this out of scope for Frontiers?

thx

A brief google led to a plugin on github that lacks a license (the last commit was 2 years ago), so not sure how one would go about integrating that.

Highly doubtful, as it seems like outdated tech.

Occulus Rift is a yes; but I don't know about the Omni. :P

Track ir is hardly outdated. I use it in many things, games arma 2, war thunder and il2. Its very big in the simulator community. Also i use it with windows, the same people also make apps for disabled people to interact with windows.

No plans for this but I'll check it out - thanks!

Oh oh oh, I got it too!

Hardly outdated, nope. Useful in simulators mostly, but not only. Hope to see it, unless it is too much cost or work (I have no clue).

It will maybe get outdated once the Occulus Rift Releases... But for now it's very usefull for everything that works 1st Person...

I don't think it will be outdated unless Oculus comes down in price and allows for the same ease of use with keyboard/mouse or joystick/wheel/etc. They are two quite different products, both good.
